Frank St. Germaine has it all. He was handed the directorship of a noted ballet company in Quebec and a beautiful woman is by his side. After a difficult loss he creates "Medicine Wheel", a brilliant ballet that becomes his signature piece. But everything begins to unravel after a gorgeous young ballerina tempts him in a weak and confusing moment. He returns to New York and reinvents himself with the help of a fellow dancer. He runs with the higher circles and copes with everyday life that includes a teenage daughter who has become a Goth.
