Where so many helpers have contributed to the result achieved, to give a list of those to whom thanks are due would be lengthy, and probably incomplete. I have therefore not attempted it, nor have I given, except on a few important occasions, the names of the correspondents who have kindly furnished the various letters of Mrs. Sumner's from which I am able to quote.
