Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. In compiling recipes and composing rules I have tried to omit nothing essential to the Uplifting and upbuilding of the barbers and their trade; at the same time admitting that there may be a few superfluous lines, these being writ ten to break the dull monotony of real facts and to make the study as interesting as possible.
