After a nasty divorce from her abusive husband, Blake Morgan needed to get away from her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia, to start her life over. Gates Point was as far away as she could go on her budget. She was in search of a new career, a new life dedicated to putting herself before another man ever again.

FBI Special Agent Logan Watson, former special forces, focused and dedicated to his career with the FBI. He had no interest in a relationship; to him they were gut-wrenching career killers until he meets Blake Morgan. Blake is fiercely independent and like him has no interest in relationships, but when her ex-husband tracks her down and attempts to return her to Roanoke by force, Logan has to come to terms with his feelings for Blake and risk his career to save her.
