When Ender, a failing starship naval recruit, finds himself drifting through space. the last thing he's expecting is to fall through a portal to another universe. Finding himself stranded in the desert on an alien world that's much deadlier than it first appears, Ender sets out towards 'The City' where he fins new friends, enemies, magic, love, a, Priestess, and a scalpel-wielding historian.

Ender will have to fight for his new life, his new love, but what will it cost? And will the city that's left ever forgive him?
