The common people, like Pablo Silva, had to suffer and paid dearly to be able to survive within a totally corrupted country. The big capos took over the government of several cities, such as Cali and Medellin, and declared war on the legal authorities and the police force. Colombia does not recover yet from that shameful and dangerous period of its history.
