King Hezekiah: and other short meditations

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF KING HEZEKIAH My name is Hezekiah. The son of King Ahaz, the son of King Jotham, of the royal line of King David. My mother's name was Abijah but she was affectionately called Abi. As the name denotes, my mother, was a woman of character: she was ambitious and possessed a very powerful personality. She admired her godly father Zechariah, who was a priest. Though she was married to King Ahaz, my father, at times she appeared to be independent of him. Because of her godly parenting, she was loyal to her God and had great respect for His word. Like Hanna, the mother of Samuel, she did her best to train her children in the ways of the Lord.
