King David

David, once a humble shepherd, first gains fame by slaying the giant Goliath. Yet, his fast rise to fame causes a rise in the jealousy of King Saul who falls into disfavor with God. And when David becomes King, he too finds difficulty when his own poor ambitions, and his lust for Bathsheba, causes the death of her husband Uriah. All David can do is to move on, knowing how important his life line, and the city he established Bethlehem] will be to the history of the world.
