Kin of Killala

In late fall 1979, the British attempt to dissolve the IRA through a surprise attack on a covert meeting of its leaders, ultimately killing all but three. With their foundation cracked and in peril, these surviving leaders turn on each other in the pursuit of guiding the "New" IRA into the future. But while they war from within, both the Irish and British governments strive to dampen the tumultuous and violent unrest the IRA stirs up between the two countries. Told through multiple points of view that weave from within the gritty IRA to the posh offices and lives of government officials, the story tells a tale about the destructive toll that unyielding nationalism takes on friends, family, and neighbors.
