Killing an Idea: Exhuming Say' Law

A meeting in Portland, Oregon occurrs between noted French economist, Jean Baptiste Say, and economic's writer Rand McGreal in 2013. They spend two days discussing the state of Economics and Say's anger with the dismissal of his ideas by John Maynard Keynes. Say then asks Rand to help him restore his theory of the market as the dominant driver of economic health. Say's passion gets the better of him at times, but he regains control and continues with a vigorous defense of his ideas, and a spirited attack on the principles underlying Keynes' theory.The book provides a clear easily understood introduction to the two giants of Macroeconomics. Keynes promoting state management of economic factors, and Say arguing for allowing markets to define those factors.
