Iyami

Iyami is a very sensitive topic among people who practice African Spirituality of any lineage. Many take the approach of mislabeling this powerful group of astral mothers, while some seek to understand the true essence of their existence. Written by a woman, this book challenges the misogynistic views of male authors who have written on the subject without compromising the integrity of the powerful mothers. I give thanks to my father, Baba Araba Ifayemi Elebuibon, for inspiring this project. Baba set the standard for sharing information on Iyami and it is because of his wisdom and the tutelage of Oluwo mi, Baba Agbongbon Fakayode Faniyi that I am able to share this knowledge today.
