Beautifully illustrated throughout, this 106-word fiction story is suitable for struggling teen and adult readers. Into the Scanner features a short, highly-structured text with limited vocabulary, slightly longer, predictable texts, short and clear sentences, and simple story development. It has clear text, appropriate fonts and obvious spacing. Into the Scanner is part of Ransom's Neutron Stars, a structured reading programme for teens and adults learning the basics of reading.
