Interpretation of Book Yan

Among in 40 articles of this book, most of them all reflect the filthy reality the late Yuan Dynasty from different angles except few disappointing articles. This book involves many aspects, such as ruling the country, family and study, taking shelter and conducting oneself in society. It focuses on the exhortation of moral cultivation, such as patriotism, conscientiousness, elite preference, civilian protection, abomination on evil, courtier avoidance, gift rejection, arrogance abstaining, expostulation acceptance, promise observation, talents identification and clever appointment. These articles contain some feudal parlances but do not destroy the allegorical purpose except some papers. Astonishingly and convincingly, they are of profound experience and sincere expostulation. Even reading this book now, people would still feel sorrowful and conversant comparing with the things around us. This book is not strange and far away from us. Instead, it is still a reminder with powerful impact to us.
