Together with its companion volume LNCS 2344, this book constitutes the refereed post-proceedings of the International Conference on Information Networking, ICOIN 2002, held in Cheju Island, Korea in January/February 2002. The 140 revised full papers presented were carefully selected and revised during two rounds of reviewing and improvement.
