This book, a study on the Agaw people, discusses details on the Agawness of the people of Gojjam and Gondar on the basis of available literature, artifacts and other related evidence. The study analyzes available information to support the Agawness of the people of East Gojjam and North Gondar, in general. It outlines the Kemant people's struggle for equality and democracy. The study identifies the Beta Israel as essentially Jewish, despite their integration into the Agaw population via marriage. In addition to these issues, the book provides a framework for an ethnic identity classification beyond traditional psychological and political categories.
