Humphrey the Dragon

On a sweltering hot mountainside overlooking a warm ocean Humphrey the dragon was born. He and the other little dragons born at the same time grew and grew and grew and grew and were soon ready to learn to breathe fire.

The little dragons were so excited, they each grabbed a firestone, popped it in their mouth and chewed and crunched and swallowed. Then they tried to breathe fire....

Humphrey opened his mouth and breathed out haaaaaa and out came something, but it wasn't fire He closed his mouth very quickly again, hurmmph. Mom and dad just stared. What was this? They had never seen anything like it.

What was happening to Humphrey? Would he breathe fire? Would he learn to be himself even if he was different?
