This book is a multi-volume chronological history book edited by Sima Guang in the Northern Song Dynasty. It mainly focuses on time and events. It began from the 23rd year of King Zhou Weilie (403 BC), and stopped writing in the sixth year of Emperor Zhou Shizong''s reign (959 AD) after the Five Dynasties. It covers the history of 16 dynasties from 1362. It focuses on political and military historical facts to show the history of the ruling, success or failure, and safety of the monarchs and ministers of the past dynasties.
