Guardians of the Shroud

Josh has spent his life in silence-abused at home, ignored at school, and used to being invisible. But when he stands up to protect another, something inside him snaps, unleashing a power he never knew he had.

But power can draw the wrong kind of attention.

Before he can understand what's happening, Josh is swept into a hidden war against the horrors of the Shroud. A team of young warriors, the Guardians, claim he's one of them. That he has a purpose. But something is wrong. Unlike the others, Josh doesn't remember his training. He doesn't know the rules. And when a fellow Guardian vanishes, the others begin to wonder if Josh is a mistake that should never have been made.

Bodies start piling up. The others don't trust him. But if he doesn't find the truth, they won't live long enough to regret it.
