Guardians of Adịm is influenced by various West African cultures specifically; the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ashanti, and Mande cultures of Nigeria, Ghana, and Mali to create a distinct world of its own. The blend of Afrocentric folklore combined with anime style themes makes Guardians of Adịm a unique novel of its genre.

The Adịmian empire has been in an era of peace and prosperity for over 150 years following a great war with an insectoid species known as the Zok. However, ancient bloodlines and feuds that predate the empire threaten to destroy Adịm and bring the entire world to its knees. Follow the story of Kalu and Danjuma as their fates intertwine around this ancient conflict.
