For Taressa Wardell, life was nothing more than one huge ball of struggle, chaos,and confusion. Born to an uncaring mother and raised on the streets, her world revolved around drugs, alcohol, promiscuous sex, and more drugs. She completely lacked self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth. Life had reached a point of having no meaning for her. For too many years now, she had felt dead inside; a hollowed husk doing nothing but going through the motions of what others expected from her. However, when an extraterrestrial being shows up at her front door announcing that her presence is required on another planet, Taressa's mind is thrown into panic mode, forcing her to look outside the scope of her blurred and hazy existence. Had she hallucinated the little blue creature and its words of prophecy? She wanted desperately to believe she had. But her soul told her differently. Her soul told her she was about to fall into the biggest vat of manure she had ever experienced. Her mind told her she would never survive.
