Fundamental Aspects of Combustion

This book presents scientific aspects of combustion from a fundamental viewpoint. It is unique because it addresses scientifically literate readers who have not specialized in combustion. Central topics of the science, notably diffusion flames, deflagrations, detonations, flammability, explosions, and turbulent combustion, are covered from an up-to-date perspective. In addition, there are discussions of the history of the subject and projections for future developments.
