It is designed to allow rapid recall of relevant anatomical facts, with clear line drawings on one page and the descriptive text on the other. The book is intended to be particularly useful to surgeons in training and anyone preparing for the new Basic Science, Clinical Surgery and Specialist Orthopaedic Examinations of the Royal Surgical Colleges. The sections cover the upper limb, the lower limb and the spine. Within each section, various approaches to a bone or joint are described. Each approach, or part of an approach, may be used for a variety of operations. This textbook on orthopaedic surgery is intended for students and surgeons in training.
