Freeuse & Leaking on St. Patrick's Day

Pregnant and leaking. Luckily, the pub is full of willing volunteers.To celebrate St. Patrick's day, my boss Megan announces that she's going freeuse for anyone who walks through the door of her little pub. The other waitresses laugh, grab their little shamrock pins, and eagerly join her.The pin is the signal: wear it, and you're fair game for the night. I just blush and lift my left hand, flashing my wedding ring. They nod and leave me out of it.Then the day of the celebration arrives… and so does my milk. Two months early.By noon the mastitis has me nearly in tears. My breasts are swollen, painfully tight, the pressure worsens by minute. When one of the regulars offers to help, I take his offer gratefully. His mouth on my nipple brings instant release. The pressure melts away, the pain fading.But a moment later I overhear a girl laughing about my pregnant body, calling it ugly, and the words sting more than the pain of mastitis ever did. I cry at first, but then something in me hardens.I reach for one of the shamrock pins and fasten it to my shirt. Men start to line up, eager to help with my aching breasts, eager to show me exactly how desirable a swollen, pregnant body can be.And just when I start to believe it, my husband's best man walks through the door, and sees exactly what I've become.Pregnant.
