Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The same system has been adopted relative to the ancestors of the writer's paternal grandmother and his own mother. In the latter case, the lines are first brought down to the maternal grandparents, Charles Dix and his wife Prudence (wells) Dix, and afterwards all the known descendants of these two grand parents are added.
