Finding Rest

Discover concise keyword outlines of Biblical history in the strokes and symbols of ancient Chinese characters. Even though people in China and Japan may be tempted to think that Christianity is a "Western" religion, there is evidence that it is not as is seen within the Chinese characters they use everyday. If I were to ask a Chinese or Japanese junior high school student how many people were on Noah's Ark and told them that the answer can be found in the word for "ship," they would know the answer. But if I asked a Westerner the same question, would they know that the answer is eight? In this book we will take a look at the gospel message embedded in the symbols of the Chinese characters that the Japanese use in the verse in Matthew 11:28, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest."
