FARC and Al Qaeda

We live in a world in which security threats do not lie exclusively in conflicts between states, but in many ways go beyond the state vision and focus on a regional, heispheric or even global vision. Threats such as climate change, poverty, terrorism, transnational organised crime (and all its manifestations), among others, are elements that generate pressure on society and states directly. Based on the above, this text emphasises issues such as terrorism and drug trafficking, starting with two actors such as the FARC and Al Qaeda, which, through the phenomenon of convergence, join forces to achieve their objectives. All this in a space generated by the phenomenon of deviant globalisation, which brings together the interests of these groups to strengthen their local, regional and even global actions.
