Event Horizons: Blood and Diamonds on the Bayou

When Darius is seventeen, he convinces his mother to put out the despicable man he calls Godzillard Pigenstein-her dope-dealing, ex-convict boyfriend. When she tries, Pigenstein kills her and flees town. Darius's sole desire becomes finding and killing the malevolent murderer.
Darius meets Evelyn three years later. They reside in worlds only a few miles apart along a South Louisiana bayou. But born into different cultures, races, and social standings, their life experiences could not have been more divergent.
Despite Darius's checkered past, Evelyn sees a man of kindness and goodness. She indefatigably tries to dissuade Darius from the murderous course he seems hell-bent on pursuing.
The surprise ending determines if Darius will cross his own event horizon and sets up the events for the second book in the Event Horizon series.
