Escapism

I have been writing poetry ever since I learned to write both to express my imagination, but also as a kind of self help for my anxiety, depression, hypochondria, fear and the feeling of not fitting into a society that I still struggle to find myself in.

I wrote my first poem in English as an 11-year-old and immediately understood that English would be my primary writing language. My way of writing, honest and raw was developed during my later teenage years and this still characterizes my writing.

In this collection are poems that I wrote between 2004 and 2012.
