Amidst a backdrop involving the work of the British Government Intelligence Agency, three protagonists strive to keep their distraught personal lives on track. Covert international surveillance and the need for intelligence from Eastern Europe act as starting points moving towards a mystifying encounter which baffles Slovakian police. The discovery of a death by suicide reveals a chain of strange associations. Mark, a retired analyst, Jo, a Government Intelligence Agency operative, and Martina, a sports centre instructor, become entangled within an emotional quagmire of love, sex and need. Espionage and mental challenges permeate their lives as the action moves between England, Hawaii, and Slovakia. British and Slovakian police work together to try and untangle the mysterious sequence of events which unfolds in the beautiful countryside of the Tatra mountains. Will our eternal triangle unravel their traumatic involvements? Will they find the love which they so wantonly seek, or will they discover that love can be tortuous? Love can thrill and delight, love can enhance and heal, but in the final analysis, love also has the potential to cause utter destruction and possibly damnation.
