The women of the great immigration era were brave beyond belief. They rolled up their sleeves and worked hard. These women worked endlessly; did all that was needed and required, for their families and so much more. So many generous women; they never forgot to share with those around them who needed help, though they had so little themselves.These women had great courage They raised their families with dignity and real faith in God. This story is written for them. Most of it is true. I remember hearing it from conversations around the family table.Their "Old Country" traditional recipes and breads continue on even today, included in our everyday meals, holiday meals, and special occasions.
