The Role of Parents in German Juvenile Criminal Proceedings. A Dogmatic-Analytical Treatise on the Current Role of Parents in Juvenile Criminal Proceedings with Emphasis on the Influence of Recent EU Legislation Embedded in the respective phases of juvenile criminal proceedings, the book covers all rights and obligations of parents and legal representatives within these. Legal basis is provided in particular by 67, 67a, 51 JGG. Thereby it is established that 51 VII JGG is unconstitutional. Overall, it is concluded that the influence of Directive (EU) 2016/800 does not weaken the parental primacy stipulated in Art. 6 II 1 GG, despite it not granting parental rights the same status.
