This book offers noteworthy perspectives on the built environment and design area, with diverse yet interconnected themes. It encapsulates the scholarly discourse on human-centred, heritage-conscious and sustainability-driven design. Therefore, this book is an overarching narrative useful for researchers and practitioners in the area. This book contains 15 chapters. The first four chapters unveil colour-related topics in different contexts of application. Chapters 5 until 7 emphasise building preservation themes through functional and inclusive design theme lenses. Chapters 8 to 12 provide insight into sustainable themes that cover interior and public space, closed-loop production and algal-based green material in the context of built environment. The last three chapters, presents the initiative for an Environmental Resilience Index (ERI) framework development for towns in Malaysia, chromatic environment as well as design technology.
