People are deeply curious about origins. Cosmologists seek the origin of the universe. Biologists seek the origin of life. Genealogists seek their family history. Humans want to know their connections to the past. Most know their parents and the circumstances of their birth. But for many even that is veiled in a shroud of mystery. Dawn on the Northern Plains is a fictionalized account of a birth family search. It is set during the period of the Vietnam War at a time when secrecy was still the dominant culture surrounding adoption. Much of the story has basis in fact.
