Culture, Migration and Welfare: A Study of Europe

The culture of Europe is embedded in the art, architecture, film, different types of music, economics, literature, and philosophy that originated from the continent of Europe. The European Union has developed a comprehensive and sustainable, long-term approach for migration which takes dignity and respect, solidarity, openness and integration into account. Four welfare or social models are classified in Europe, namely, the Nordic model, the continental model, Anglo-Saxon model and the Mediterranean model. The Nordic model includes Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands. The continental model includes Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, etc. The Anglo-Saxon model includes Ireland and the United Kingdom, and the Mediterranean model includes Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. This book brings forth some of the most innovative concepts and elucidates the unexplored aspects of culture, migration and welfare in Europe. Its aim is to present researches that have studies this area rigorously. This book will serve as a reference to a broad spectrum of readers.
