They wanted to create a superior human to explore outer space. Stronger, faster, smarter and able to live longer than anyone had ever been able to. And they wanted to add a computer inside his brain so he could operate and control all the machines within a spaceship. On the 47th try they were successful. But the got more than they asked for.
