Conscious Consumption

The act of consuming is directly linked to the environment, since consumer goods come directly or indirectly from available natural resources. Currently, there is growing concern about the unwise use of these resources. Conscious consumption arises in this context. As the merchandise is aimed at the end consumer, concern is constantly growing about the role of the individual in the search for sustainable development. This paper seeks to examine the role of the consumer in this chain, analysing above all their responsibility for disposing of the goods. It also asks what the role of the state and suppliers is in terms of conscious consumption.
