Confluence of Hu and Han Cultures

The Tang Dynasty was a period of significant development in both domestic and international transportation, as well as a time when various ethnic groups moved from contradictions and conflicts towards exchange and integration. Scholars such as Xiang Da and Chen Yinke have conducted effective preliminary investigations into the relationship between ethnic issues and literature and art during this period. This book, based on the work of predecessors, explores the possibility of the root of ethnic literature research in the Tang Dynasty through the collation and summary of theoretical backgrounds, academic paradigms, and historical materials. The book conducts a comprehensive study and case analysis of the literary conditions of ethnic groups such as the Xianbei, Turkic, and Sogdians in the Tang Dynasty, and provides a multidimensional interpretation of the historical and cultural context of the relationship between the Hu and Han in the medieval period.
