Christian Doctrine of God

Christianity is a doctrine Of God and a life in God. It is scarcely more; for its great peculiarity is its proclamation Of a work of gracious help from God to man, performed because God is what he is, and all its substance beyond this consists in the unfolding Of what it means, in experience and thought, that God is such a Being as Jesus Christ makes known. Christianity is religion with such a God, and Christian theology is the doctrine of such a God, and of that which follows from his being.
