Children of the Now

Jade is on a mission. She wants to help create a world where children are raised in love and respect, with their gifts intact. She develops a scanner program which is placed in schools in order to detect abuse which she feels interferes with their happiness. Then the government foresees the End of Days approaching. It uses the scanner program to pick out gifted children which it intends, with Jades help, to incarcerate underground. Jade is not interested in the job. She is picked up under false charges of child abuse and placed in a lock down facility where she is reunited with a previous boyfriend and a neighbour. They assist her to escape. The story continues with Jade and Kira, who has escaped with Jade, striving to be reunited with Jade's children and then seeking refuge from a cataclysmic storm. Meanwhile, Lucus and Madison, Jade's children, are having their own adventures while trying to avoid the authorities who are aiming to pick them up and place them in a children's detention center.
