Children of the Mountains

When a galaxy-weary journalist arrives at yet another faux-Bavarian lodge high in the mountains of yet another faux Earth, he has only one objective: to pound out an acceptable story about yet another lone-wolf scientist. Soon, however, two additional objectives bare their fangs: first, to ditch the beer steins and the lederhosen and, second, to hightail it back to civilization. The children of the mountains, however, have their own plans for our intrepid ink-slinger.
