This book discusses the opportunities as well as problems facing the proposed Union Government of Africa from diverse disciplines. The central focus of this book explores in different ways and perspectives the theoretical foundation of African integration, including an examination of historic antecedents in the African regional integration process. The authors of this book also discuss the evolution of the Organisation of African Union (OAU) and African Unity (AU), including the pressures and constraints for the effective and efficient operation of the AU and the eventual creation of a Continental Government for Africa.
