Sad. Lost. Unmotivated. Three emotions that sum up small town girl, Kallie Wells. Feeling defeated in life, Kallie is not looking forward to the arriving school year, her junior year. But when the first day of school arrives, Kallie learns about majestic Masin Baines who has just moved to town. Masin completely adds thrill to Kallie's unexciting life. Finally, Kallie starts to feel happy and okay again. Her father's death starts to not always be on her mind like it used to be. Day by day she learns more about Masin and soon starts to realize that there is something different about him---very different. Kallie is determined to find out what. Kallie digs into Masin and his past. There's something off about him and his family. But what? Kallie can't quite put her finger on it. She keeps digging and digging, but what she doesn't know is that there is danger lurking beneath that she is not ready for. The question is, will she be able to survive?
