In her sixth novel, writer Lana Abdel Rahman chooses to present to the reader a novel with multiple voices, and whose events intertwine between tense social details, by opening the text with the murder of a charming woman named Jumana, within whom all opposites meet, and between an imagination that poses its philosophical questions in a legitimate debate with reality, through A group of heroes, carefully chosen by the author to reflect through them the reality of a Lebanese neighborhood located in Beirut, called "The Prince''s Neighborhood." The time is 2017.The heroes are diverse, and their views on life differ in a confusing way. There is Dora, who returns from Australia to Beirut, in search of a place that will embrace her, and Diba, the leader of the guerrilla war during the time of the civil war, and Doctor Youssef, the seventy-year-old man who insisted on staying in Beirut, and he alone became constant in the time of passers-by. There is also Marwan, the husband of the murdered woman, and Farah, the Syrian refugee, and Hiyam, the tarot card reader, who predicts the impossible. The destinies of everyone in Budabar collide within a single crucible, and each person finds refuge in the other, in a continuous attempt to find self and love in its most comprehensive sense. .The novel also remains loaded with questions about the city, the relationship with it, Jumana, and the identity of her killer.
