Biotechnological Applications of Jasmonates

Global climate changes and environmental challenges have led to extensive research on major signaling pathways of plant growth regulators such as jasmonates, salicylates and ethylene, and strigolactones in the last two decades. With their potential to enhance the adaptability of plants to biotic as well as abiotic stresses while regulating key growth and developmental phenomena, jasmonates are a promising solution to a growing global food shortage problem.
