Bible Women

God's word is a "lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Ps.119:105).
As the people of God, we look to the Scriptures to find out what God wants to say to us and how he wants us to live our lives for him. This book studies the lives of certain women in the Bible and uncovers things that will encourage us, things that will be a warning for us, things that will spur us on to greater heights and even things that will challenge our perspective.
It is hoped that this book will be a useful resource for both men and women - highlighting some of the pressing issues facing women in Africa today and providing some Biblical role models and godly perspectives on these matters.
Two questions will be asked about each of the characters studied.

• What can we learn from the life of this woman?
• What can we learn about God?

The book does not provide all the answers but leaves room for those who interact with the Biblical text to come up with insights of their own. Ideas to stimulate further discussion and to motivate action will be a help to every reader, but especially to pastors, teachers and women fellowship p leaders, who will use this book as a tool to teach others. It is the prayer of the author that as women in particular read and study this book, they will be greatly encouraged and will rise up to serve God with renewed passion and courage.
