Beyond the Melting Pot

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This work was conceived and organized by Nathan Glazer. He wrote the Negroes, the Puerto Ri cans, the Jews, the Italians, and most of the Intro duction. Daniel Patrick Moynihan wrote the Irish and most of Beyond the Melting Pot. We have discussed and criticized each other's writing, and worked together to for mulate the thesis that the book presents.
