Benzimidazole Derivatives

Benzimidazole derivatives are potent pharmaceutical agents due to their therapeutic applications such as anticancer, analgesic, hypotensive, neuroprotective, antidiabetic, etc. Benzimidazole is one of the privileged scaffolds for drug design and discovery. Currently, we have designed, synthesized and characterized benzimidazole clubbed pyrazoline derivatives from 2-mercapto benzimidazole. These derivatives have been investigated for their antimicrobial activities as well as antioxidant activities. In silico molecular docking of all novel compounds was carried out to ensure their potential as an antibacterial.
