Beacon on the Headland

BEACON ON THE HEADLAND tells the story of the development of the north shore of Lake Superior and the long-awaited lighthouse built on the headland at Two Harbors, Minnesota. Through the eyes of one family, and especially, Han, you become acquainted with the development of the shore and the economy. Many peoples from various ethnic backgrounds contributed to its culture from fur trappers, homesteaders, fishermen, lumbermen, railroad workers, miners, and finally to the builders of the ore docks and lighthouse. We will learn whether Hans dream of building the lighthouse is realized.
