Barkey the Lost Dog is a story about a boy who befriended adog. The boy’s name is Rob; he is a bi-racial eight year old. Roblives with his mother who is a single parent. The dog belongs to aneighbor. The child learns safety after going to a forbidden area andthe dog becomes trapped as a result.The dog was rescued and returned safely home.
