Ayurvedic Materials for Enhancing Osseointegration in Dental Implants

Several Ayurvedic medicines have been exploited for the treatment and management of various diseases in human beings. Ayurveda has always been an enigma to Western allopathic medicines. The botanicals in Ayurvedic medicine have been proven to be safe and effective, through several hundred to several thousand years of use. The exploration of botanicals used in traditional medicine, particularly traditional Asian medicine, may lead to the development of novel preventive or therapeutic strategies for oral health. Ayurveda must be reinterpreted in light of our new knowledge and it must be incorporated into modern medicine along with other forms of traditional medicine.
